RESCUES
This event isn’t just about speed — it’s about impact. Every registration directly supports the local dog rescues below working every day to give dogs a second chance at life.
After processing fees, proceeds go toward:
Medical care and rehabilitation
Foster and adoption programs
Daily support for dogs waiting on their forever homes
So while your dog is racing for the finish line…other dogs are getting a shot at theirs.
How Your Participation Helps
100% of racer registration fees (minus processing) go directly to these rescues. Additional funds are raised through raffles like Longest Ween and Golden Weener, plus on-site donations. Whether you’re racing, cheering, or just here for the beer—you’re part of something bigger.
Want to do more?
Follow, donate, or volunteer directly with these rescues and help keep tails wagging long after race day.👉 Below, meet the rescues your race is supporting.
Cody’s Friends Rescue
Cody’s Friends Rescue is a Dallas-based, foster-driven organization focused on saving dogs from overcrowded shelters across North Texas. They specialize in giving second chances to dogs who might otherwise be overlooked—whether due to medical needs, age, or circumstances.
Through a dedicated network of fosters and volunteers, Cody’s Friends ensures every dog receives medical care, socialization, and the time they need to find the right forever home—not just the fastest one.
Why it matters:
They don’t just rescue dogs—they restore them.
Duck Team 6
Duck Team 6 is a Dallas-based, all-volunteer rescue dedicated to reducing the street dog population through capture, placement, and outreach. Their team specializes in safely capturing hard-to-catch, often overlooked dogs that have spent months — or even years — surviving on the streets, then ensuring they receive medical care and a path to a permanent home.
Through partnerships with fosters, other rescue groups, and community supporters, Duck Team 6 provides veterinary care, spay/neuter, and critical support to both rescued dogs and underserved pet owners — helping prevent future strays while saving dogs already in danger.
Why it matters:
They don’t just rescue dogs — they reach the ones no one else can.
