This is it.
The last Weener Wednesday before the inaugural GRRROWLER'S Dachshund Derby at The Shacks Summer Kickoff this Saturday.
Over the past two months, we've introduced all kinds of racers—from champions and therapy dogs to squirrel hunters, Pretenders, puppies, seniors, and a few lovable troublemakers.

We're keeping registration open through Saturday to help ensure a full field of racers on Derby day, even if a few registered competitors are unable to attend. If you've been thinking about entering your dog, there's still time.

The inaugural GRRROWLER’S Dachshund Derby at The Shacks Summer Kickoff is officially entering the home stretch.
Big News: we’re opening roughly 10 additional racer spots to help ensure a full 100-racer field on Derby day — even accounting for the occasional no-show, diva behavior, or last-minute stage fright.
We’re also still welcoming racers for the Pretenders Division, so corgis, terriers, mutts, and other compact little speed demons are absolutely invited to join the fun.

The field for the inaugural GRRROWLER’S Dachshund Derby & Shacks Summer Kickoff is almost complete.
With fewer than 10 racing spots remaining, the competition is officially getting serious.
We’re also still looking for a few more racers for the Pretender Division — so if you’ve got a corgi, terrier, mixed breed, or other tiny speed demon willing to challenge the dachshunds, there’s still time.

At this point… the field is almost full. We’re officially down to **less than 20 spots remaining** out of 100 total racers — and this week’s group brings everything from veteran energy to full-blown main-character confidence.
We’ve now got racers coming in from all over Texas (and beyond), and the competition is getting very real.
IMPORTANT: This is still not the full roster. New racers will continue to be introduced every Wednesday leading up to race day.
But we especially want more racers for the PRETENDER DIVISION.

We’re about 8 weeks out from the GRRROWLER’S Dachshund Derby + Shacks Summer Kickoff…
…and we’re down to ~20 spots remaining out of 100 total racers. From confident runners to unpredictable wild cards, this is shaping up to be a stacked, high-energy field.

New racers will continue to be introduced each Wednesday until we sell out.

From now until June 13, every Wednesday is Weener Wednesday — where we introduce the puppers competing in the GRRROWLER’S Dachshund Derby & The Shacks Summer Kickoff.
Each week, we’ll introduce a new group of registered racers as the field continues to fill.
And trust us… this is just the beginning.
